Geomembrane is low permeability geosynthetic liner made of PE,  PVC, EVA or PP etc materials. Itcontrol fluid\gas migrations in human-made projects, structure, or system. At present, the geomembrane materials are mainly polyvinyl chloride PVC. It is available in both smooth and textured sheet, customized coloursand different thicknesses. The PE type geomembrane is mainly divided into low-density polyethene (LDPE) geomembrane, high-density polyethene (HDPE) while according to raw materials it is divided into recycled materials and virgin materials.
A geomembrane is very low permeability synthetic membrane liner or barrier used with any geotechnical engineering related material so as to control fluid (or gas) migration in a human-made project, structure, or system. Geomembranes are made from relatively thin continuous polymeric sheets, but they can also be made from the impregnation of geo-textiles with asphalt,  elastomer or polymer sprays, or as multilayered bitumen geo composites. Continuous polymer sheet geomembranes are, by far, the most common.
